The goal of this project is to perform 300 Free Surgeries of poor people suffering from preventable blindness or vision problems due to Cataract, especially those living in under-developed areas of Somalia, especially in displacement people in Mogadishu. We strive to address preventable blindness in poor people by performing Free Cataract Surgeries at Free Eye Camps in rural and suburban areas of country and at our hospitals. This strategy resolves this issue completely and has an impact on the lives of the beneficiaries almost immediately.
The primary objective of this program is to offer life-changing surgical interventions to individuals suffering from cataracts, enabling them to regain their visual abilities and significantly improve their quality of life. Cataracts, a leading cause of visual impairment and blindness globally, can have a debilitating impact on individuals’ daily activities, independence, and overall well-being. By providing free cataract surgeries, we aim to alleviate this burden and empower the beneficiaries to lead more fulfilling and productive lives.
We understand that financial constraints often prevent individuals from receiving the necessary medical attention. Therefore, our organization is committed to removing this barrier by covering the entire cost of the cataract surgeries. Through generous funding and partnerships with local healthcare providers, we have secured the necessary resources to perform 300 surgeries, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the community have access to this life-changing procedure.
To ensure the success of this initiative, we are collaborating closely with medical professionals, ophthalmologists, and experienced surgeons who specialize in cataract surgeries. Their expertise, combined with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, will guarantee the highest standard of care and optimal outcomes for the patients. We prioritize the safety and well-being of the individuals undergoing the surgeries, and adherence to strict medical protocols and standards is paramount throughout the entire process.
